Title: How to make fine lines ?
Post by: herrwood on November 20, 2016, 07:25:39 am
Looking at the Guardian angel pattern in the catalog.
The lines between the angels wings would they just be straight cuts with a thin blade ?

Hi herrwood:
Yes, whatever blade you are using run it along the line
There is a process called "veining" when do this type of cut
all you are doing is following the line and back out

Veining is what this is called and some use a very fine flat blade some use a spiral, a lot will depend upon how noticeable you want the veining.  A #2 or #3 blade would make a decent vein, just my opinion of course :)

Sound good, I will make a few test pieces and see what looks best.
