The reticulated air hose cracked at the joint at the upper arm and isn't stable any longer on my DeWalt DW788 scroll saw. Precious little on Youtube on repairs other than forcing it and I've only got ten knuckles to skin. The joints are hard plastic and join the arm at a nipple. I was able to pull the cracked joint off the nipple and off the remainder of the hosing. Any suggestions on how to reconnect the hose at the next joint? Thank you.

The air hose is made of plastic sections. Heating it with a heat gun will let you force the bell over the ball. Just did it on my saw, it was very easy, once it was heated.
Good luck,

you can also boil it in water, it will get soft enough to force it on

I do it with a heat guy, just do not over do it or you will ruin the joint you are heating. They melt.... Does not take a whole lot of heat.

i used hot water

A hair dryer should generate enough heat. Unless you've used a heat gun before - heed Scrappile's advice.
