Title: Axminster AWFS18 Scroll Saw
Post by: fletch on July 07, 2012, 08:53:38 am
Just thought some of you may be interested in a small modification Ive done on my Axminster AWFS18. should also work on a hegner saw.

Ive replaced 2 peaces of plastic with 4 small bearings on the quick release lever this has made the operation much smoother.

Hi Fletch.  I have the AWFS18 and the modification you've made looks interesting.  Did you buy the bearings locally (as I also live in the Mansfield area) or did you buy over the internet?
Cheers
Roy

I concur with the modification, Done that to mine after I got it 3 years ago.
I thought I had mentioned it back then, But age is a bad thing.

Any way it's bin working for that long and no problems.
