Introduce Yourself. / Central NY scroller here!

Quick note to intro myself. I'm John Shaffner from Canastota, NY...home of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, for you boxing fans (not me though). I've been scrolling for more yrs. than I care to reveal, but am by no means an expert. After starting out with a Dremel Motoshop, advancing through several Craftsman and Delta saws, I finally got my Dewalt 788 about 10 yrs. ago. Ol Yeller has definitely improved my cutting and retained my interest in scrolling. Being disabled/retired, I expect that it will be my last scrollsaw purchase, unless it goes through some catastrophic failure, but so far so good. I cut mostly fretwork style projects, but do all kinds of other woodworking as well.
Gotta give my buddy Charles Dearing a shout out. If it weren't for him, I would never have met Russ Claridy and Steve Good. We met last weekend on Charlie's Google+ Hangout on Saturday evening. All 3 are great guys. They're definitely an asset to the scrolling community and I'm proud to be somewhat associated with them. Glad to be here as well.
