Hello from Texas
« on: April 17, 2011, 10:49:37 am »
Hi. My name is Kim. My wife and I live in Tahoka Texas which is 30 miles south of Lubbock. I have been scrolling off and on for 5 or 6 years. I haven't been able to do much the last few years, but I'm trying to get back into it now. Lots of good information on this forum, but the main reason i joined is the family type atmosphere. Seems like a really good group of people here. Looking forward to learning something and making some new friends.

Welcome aboard Kim. I'm something like you whereas I stopped scrolling for awhile because my saw (16" SS Ryobi) used to scare the beejesus out of me. When the blade broke it was like a machine gun going off in an Arnold Schawrzenager movie. In thinking that all saws were like that, I stopped scrolling. Wow was I ever wrong. Scrolling today is a pleasure. Looking forward to your future posts.

Hey Kim: Welcome aboard, your gonna have some fun here. The people are from around the world. Steve is a GREAT host and comes up with the really neat things to make. I spent almost two years at Ft. Hood, right after a "Vacation" (not !) in Viet Nam. I started scrolling at about 13, I am about to turn 64. I don't feel that old, but my drivers licence says I am. LOL By selling crafts over the years, I bought wood and new tools - while I was working as a Telephone man.
You are in a really great group now that will help any way they can.
