Hi guys. I have a question for you. Right now I'm on a windows computer but I also got a new Mac. The problem is, that when I go on this site with the Mac, I can't see any of the Patterns on the request pattern site and I also can't leave any reply's. Does this forum support Mac. Thanks Ralph.

Pattern Requests. / Pattern Help
« on: November 25, 2014, 04:00:43 pm »
Hi everyone, I need some help. I'm trying to get a pattern of this photo of my niece and her mom. Her mom passed away last month and I want to do a portrait of them. All I had was an old photo so I scanned it and tried to touch it up a little to see if any of you can make a pattern for me. I want to try and do it for Christmas for her. Thanks for all your help if this can be done.

Trying to get some different ideas on these photos. One is a wedding gift for my niece and the other one is for her mom. I know you all do patterns a little different and that's what I'm looking for, a variety to choose from. There going to an 8x10. I wish I knew how to do this stuff but I don't. You guys are amazing with some of the patterns I see on here. I don't know how you do it so fast. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ralph

Brag Forum / My first Multi colored bowl
« on: September 22, 2014, 04:24:12 pm »
My first multi colored bowl. It was a little tricky. I kinda messed up on the blade size and degree of the cut. It called for a size #9 blade but I used a #7 instead because I didn't have any #9's and I didn't make a sample cut first so I had to cut about a 1/2 inch off the handle because the bowl didn't open enough for me. Live and learn I guess.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Downloading patterns
« on: September 09, 2014, 06:22:15 pm »
Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum but so far I'm getting a lot of useful tips. Now I have a question. I tried downloading a few of the patterns that scroller's put on but when I go to print them out, there enormous. I usually try to fit most of my portraits in an 8x10 frame but these are way bigger.  For example, I tried to print out a pattern for the three stooges that someone had on but when I printed it, the two stooges on either end were cut in half and the portrait was very big. I'm printing on regular 8.5x11 printer paper. Am I doing something wrong. Thanks, Ralph

Hi I'm looking for someone that can convert a couple of photos into patterns for me. I want to try and make a couple of portraits of my two grand kids. I don't know if it would be easier to make one with both there images in it or do two separate ones. One is a boy and one is a girl. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Ralph.

Introduce Yourself. / New to the forum
« on: September 08, 2014, 03:14:41 pm »
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I get Steve;s emails everyday and try to do most of the patterns he sends out. I even bought his CD, which is great.  I was trying to find someone that knows how to convert photos into patterns so I can make a couple of portraits of my Grand kids. I was told Ray/Eieio and Mahendra might be able to do them. I'm willing to pay for them also. Can anyone let me know. Thanks, Ralph
