Hope it's cooler next week

It's 10pm this end and still 32 C no breeze humidity 75%. They say tomorrow and sunday will still be like this, but from next week it will get cooler they say. I hope it's true as I am taking part in a 4 day cycling event called the RoR(Roll on Route). The route I take with many others is accesible to tricks, wheelchairs and other motorized equipment for physically disabled people. I will be taking part for the 3rd time this year, but if this weather continues it is likely to be cancelled. Last year we had rain almost every day. It's a lot of fun to do as it coincides with the biggest cycling event in the Netherlands, so a couple of 1000 crazy dutchies go cycling 4 days in a row and get medal at end of it. Along the route there are all kinds of activities like you can go and see a dairy farm and how icecream is made and craft shows(hardly any wood though). Posting a photo of my beloved trick without it I would be stuck at home far more than I am now.

Send some of that heat down here we have been basking in 4c heat, have the heat pump on most of yesterday and it is not much better today

Is that a 'powered' trick or do you have to pedal?

I have to pedal but it is quite light. If pedalling becomes difficult there is a possibility to have a motor hooked up. Never thought of putting my scrollsaw in the back. Jimbo I would gladly send you some of the heat. Lets see 32+4=36 then 36/2=18. I think if we do it that way it will work out nicely.

Dave it only does a wheelie if I try to put to much in the back. My nephew once asked me to help him bring home 2 crates of beer, I could not get the frontwheel down, so he had to wait so I could take the one home and then fetch the other. Difficult to try and do a wheelie with the steering under the seat.

Wish it was 32? C today, I measured 39?/40? today and as I write this it just started to rain and thunder.
I wish you have good weather up north, and with that I Hope that you will keep it dry.

I know what the problem is if 2 crates of beer create an automatic wheelie,
You have to drink faster???

Never heard about ROR, is this a national event or is it ?gr?nnings? ?
I?m not that much of a cycler myself, so respect for this performance!

Hi Marcellarius, It's part of the "Drenthse fiets 4-daagse". It's the only one where they cater for people with physical disabilities, they even arrange for the possibilty for people to use the facilities of retirement homes along the way if needed. Yes I hope it stays dry next week, last year it rained all week. Pretty hot in Dieren so we actually are lucky up north.
The problem with the wheelie is I don't drink beer, so I will tell my nephew he will have to drink faster.

we have a "four-day hiking" event whit a special wheelchair part.
Children from a local school (+/- 16 Y.old) do this as a social event/field trip and they have to push all the wheelchairs.
there are also a lot of family and friends that do this to.
a great event to see the people how ar stuck to the wheelchair all the year se enjoy this 4 days!
