Title: Red Tailed Hawk

A friend of mine asked me to make this for his wife. I used Walnut, White Oak, Padauk, Yellowheart, Red Cedar, Aspen and Cherry

Turned out very nice.
next time you do an animal try putting a dot of white on the eye. That will really make it come "alive".

That's a beauty! 
Regarding Brian's tip about the eye..... I agree with him and easiest way i have found is to use a white cocktail stick (drill a tiny hole in the eye and glue a piece in or any other white wood) it makes eyes "Pop"  you can also use white paint with a tiny bit on the end of the cocktail stick touch the eye very lightly.
Love the colouring of your woods and I'm sure your friends wife will love it!
