Title: Desk Stand
Post by: woodyd on August 29, 2016, 11:38:50 pm
Looking for suggestions how to make this into a desk top stand with better details, rather than just a silhouette. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Woodyd,
You could cut out the picture you show here, glue it to the wood stock
with spray adhesive, and then cut it out. Just draw a rectangular base
on the wood stock before you cut it or cut out a separate base and
screw the picture onto the base.

Thanks Spirit, that's what I do when making magnets. However, with this project, wanted it to be a wood sculpture. This is just a rough draft, but think I can make something like this to work. Thin vein lines to show detail.

Needs to be cleaned up but, I think something like this will work. Leaving out the facial details.

Nice work! Doesn't look like you needed any help.
Just make sure to leave plenty of bridges so it doesn't
become too fragile.

That turned out fine and you did it without help after all.
