Made this Armoire for my granddaughter. Made with cherry and my first attempt at inlays. Inlayed walnut on the top and top drawer front leaf with tiger wood and walnut. Added a little box removable box in one drawer lined with felt for some jeweler.

Well Thanks to Claymore (Brian) making me the Impala Pattern, my grandson is getting the Impala he asked me to make. I think it turned out pretty good if I say so myself. I used Spanish Cedar for the body, American Walnut for the antlers, Persian Walnut for the dark area on the body, Soft Maple for the white, Red Oak for back board and Padauk for the frame. Lots of little piece for example there are 24 piece just in the antlers. Total of 76 pieces. Thanks and hope you enjoy pictures? Doug

WOW! That is going to be a great piece to hang on the wall! Can't wait to see the finished work. I have been doing intarsia for few years now mainly doing wild life for our family room, Have around 30 pieces so far. Picture shows one wall of room. May I ask where you get patterns like the Clydesdales? Thinking I would like to try something like that this winter.

Intarsia / Impala Intarsia Pattern
« on: November 23, 2017, 10:12:16 am »
Hello follow intarsia scroll saw lovers. I have been asked by my grandson to make him a Impala as that is his schools Mascot. I have look everywhere I can on the internet for a good pattern of an Impala with no luck. Would anyone on here know of where I could get a pattern of a Impala ( for those not sure it is a animal of Africa). Thanks
