Made this name sign for my nephew and his bride for a wedding gift. The backing is Douglas Fir and sign is Cherry. I finished it with shellac.

There is a way to create these using inkscape. Once you get the hang of it making these is fairly simple. Here is a link to a tutorial for doing this.

Larry while I know how to do these signs I do them just for myself. Due to potential conflict with http://www.sheilalandrydesigns.com/ who first came up with this and does sell the patterns using the technique I could not in good conscience sell mine. http://www.sheilalandrydesigns.com/ does make custom patterns for folks you just need to contact them.

The smaller font is Birds of Paradise there is a free version and a pay for version that has the compete font package. For most of what we do the free is sufficient.
