Beautiful pattern, but I'm not sure what the posted image is showing. Is the smaller image a completed cutting? What is the larger image? The cuts seem to be at an angle perpendicular to the hood - is this an optical illusion?

The picture in the lower left corner shows what the design will look like when done.  The larger image shows it in progress.  It's at a slight angle because i was standing in front of it while it was on a flat surface to take the picture.  Click on the picture to make it somewhat bigger.
