Title: 3D relief scroll work - Karl Taylor inspired
Post by: moonlighter on April 27, 2020, 09:57:24 am
Thanks (I think) to Steve & Karl for a different take on scroll work.  I have mixed emotions about the artists Steve showcases on his blog.  They make me want to copy and then I find out how much work (and LOT of practice) is involved.

Anyway, Steve highlighted Karl's work recently and my wife saw it (my mistake).  She found a fabric print and wanted it for our new great grand child.

After a lot of work & errors, here is my attempt at 3D scroll work. The pic does not show all the relief cuts involved.

 Hope you like it.

Sorry folks, I can't get the pic right side up. Even tried attaching a upside down pic.

Very nice, I can see where that would be a lot of work but the kids will love it.
