Finish on Steve’s Medallion ?
« on: October 13, 2019, 04:21:21 pm »
For the first time I am going to use 1 of Steve’s custom medallions on the side of a small Rocking Horse . If I put it in the drilled shallow hole just before I finish with clear polyurethane will it appear ok or should I put in place later and not apply the clear polyurethane over the medallion? Thanks!

I use the medallions on some pieces and my preference is io install them 1st and then apply a clear satin finish.

One coat of clear satin finish on my Rocker Horse looks great on both horse and medallion.

Glad it pleased you.  Do you have a pic you can share?  Regards, GLC in Cypress, Texas.

Unless I’m missing something a picture from my iPad doesn’t meet forum requirements for posting after trying several times. May have to get the camera out and add picture to pc .

I've heard others comment that there can be an issue with the file size of pics.  Probably too high a resolution.
