Still kicking
« on: February 10, 2018, 05:35:47 pm »
:D Hello all.  Finally got connected with my computer.  So I have been playing cleanup and catch up..
Short Story:
Jan 3: Major hernia repair. Was supposed to take 3.5 to 4 hours turned into 8 hours
Jan 9: Discharged to home
Jan 19: Back for stitch removal. Instantly admitted for surgery for infection pocket and other bad stuff.
Jan 19: thru Feb 8th they did another 8 surgeries. Wound Vac removed to expose a very large wound.
Feb 8: Transferred to another hospital for twice a day special nursing care to unpack and pack the wound with gauze. I refer to it a a gut shot with a torpedo.
Still here long days. Several weeks before any hope of seeing my critters
A prayer or two would be appreciated if you find a spare minute.
My shows may be a bit short this year as there is no sawdust flying  :)
Hope you are all doing great!

Judy sorry to hear of your problems.  My prayers and thoughts for a complete and speedy recovery.  I had something similar happen to me when my appendix ruptured.  I was in the hospital for 53 days because my body rejected every stitch the doc put in.  Keep the faith my friend and get well.

Oh, Judy-what a way to start the year!  Mercy!  I can't imagine so many surgeries!  So sorry, Girl.  You're on my prayer list.  Hope you are soon home to sawdust and critters (both are good therapy-along with a little glass of vino ;) ).

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Would you believe it? I am still in the hospital. I feel pretty good but they have to do a procedure every other day. So between time, here I sit wishing I could be at the saw. I suppose they frown on bringing it into my room. 🤡😃 stay well everyone!!!

Judy, so sorry to hear of your medical problems. Infections are nothing to ignore or take lightly. Your scroll Saw will be waiting for you when you recover. I have you in my daily prayers.
