DW788 front to back blade adjustment
« on: August 16, 2017, 01:53:57 pm »
I have read on line some of the techniques to adjust the DW788's  front to back blade movement.  However, I thought I read somewhere that this adjustment was done by just rotating the motor a bit.  I would like to be able to make this adjustment whenever I do fretwork, then adjust it back for general scrollsawing.  Do you know anything about this technique?

That technique of rotating the motor is discussed for the Excalibur and the Seyco, I know for sure having owned both.  I do not know if it works for the DeWalt.  The Ex and Seyco motors are held in place with a flange.  The  flange is held in place with three bolts the fit into slots in the flange.  Loosen the bolts and you can rotate the motor.  If you try to rotate your motor, mark on the motor and the frame of the saw where it starting point is.  Then you will know where to move the motor back to when you want to.
