My Dewalt Scroll saw has been speeding up on its own when I am cutting.  I have used compressed air to clean out under the hood where the speed dial is.  What else could it be?  Is it something I can fix?

Sorry I have no idea. Maybe a DW788 owner will come along with the solution. Meanwhile have you searched DW788 speeding up?

I have the saw, but I haven't had that problem.  It sounds electrical in nature.  Do you have a foot switch?

hi
the problem is often caused by a failing capacitor on the control board
