Computer questions / new email format is causing me a problem
« on: March 14, 2022, 02:34:10 pm »
Since March 6th, the format of the daily emails has changed and it's causing me a problem.  When I am looking for a pattern and I want to see the text from when you emailed it, in the past, I opened up my gmail and moved my cursor selector down and the email preview on my right shows at least the top half of the completed project.  I could just move down to the next one to see the next preview.  Recently, you have inserted advertisements and descriptions of a YouTube you want us to look at.  Now, to peruse past emails, I have to move the selector down then click on the email, then scroll up to the pattern preview.  Can you make the first thing after the title and the 'click here to visit my estore" to be the pattern preview (perhaps make it configurable)?

I would like to change the letters in the My Little Princess (posted May 18, 2019) to read Our Little Princess.  Is there anyone that can do this for me?

I found lots of them online, but none with the beautiful design as depicted on Steve's images. If you found them, please send a link.

I cannot find the 4 inch candles shown on your 02/20/2019 email.  Do you have a source for them?

Computer questions / Re: BEST PROGRAM TO REPLACE MS WORD (WORD NOT WORKS)

I've been using LibreOffice for several weeks now and it works a little better than OpenOffice.  OpenOffice uses lots of resources, whereas LibreOffice does not.

Thank you.  I installed the scrollsoni font, restarted Photoshop and it worked.

Pattern Requests. / curving fonts

Recently, a very good friend of ours had to put her dog down.  I want to make a special gift with the dog's name and a round picture insert with a snapshot of him inside.  I found a good head silhouette on line, but I want to put the dog's name (Duncan) curved just above the head.  I need to find a good scroll saw font with no floaters.

Ask Steve a question. / DW788 front to back blade adjustment
« on: August 16, 2017, 01:53:57 pm »
I have read on line some of the techniques to adjust the DW788's  front to back blade movement.  However, I thought I read somewhere that this adjustment was done by just rotating the motor a bit.  I would like to be able to make this adjustment whenever I do fretwork, then adjust it back for general scrollsawing.  Do you know anything about this technique?

Wow!  that's really nice!  However, I was looking for something a little less detailed.  Thanks for the quick response, though.

A friend of mine is a Navy Chief, and I would like to make him something for his birthday. I would like something that has the Navy Chief anchor emblem and the word Chief or Navy Chief.  Fretwork would be nice, but simple is OK, too.

I'm trying to find a pattern for a Navy Chief petty officer and I found a thread that mentions it. However, when I click on the link, I get a 404 not found.

Ask Steve a question. / Guard Coast?

In your latest email, you show 5 dog tags patterns.  However, did you really mean "Guard Coast", not "Coast Guard"?
