Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / Re: Harbor Freight gems......
« on: March 25, 2019, 07:55:37 pm »
Another great thing about Harbor Freight,,,,,,,, reviews. Items I have purchased and really find useful, I have done reviews on. Yet another plus is folks do you tube videos on products as well. One thing to remember is they upgrade items, or downgrade items, so I usually check the item #'s as well. Carry on woodworkers! :o :o ;D ;D

I have several HF items, nail gun, staple gun, belt sander, several more. ONE thing I like about Harbor Freight is... on the web site you can download the manual of the tool. This is great, I have 3 binders holding the original manuals and I also have a digital saved on my computer.....keep bringin em HF.

Computer questions / program that converts document to pdf file
« on: March 18, 2018, 02:21:59 pm »
Hello,
A number of years ago there was a free program that let you put the shortcut on your desktop and then you could drag and drop a document ontop of the icon on your desktop and it would automatically convert to pdf. Does anyone remember the name of the program? My computer crashed and I lost it. I think I found it within Steves blog.

Thx in advance!

I recently sold 20 of my stand up puzzles at my first rummage sale. I pkg. them in a ziplock bag with a small pic of puzzle that has an avery label on back with the warning.

The label reads  CAUTION:small parts, choaking hazzard. FINISHED COATING: SAFE-NON-TOXIC Mineral Oil and Bees Wax. Reapply when worn.

Computer questions / Re: INQUIRING ABOUT ....WINDOWS 10....
« on: May 23, 2016, 05:09:33 pm »
Danny,  I purchased a cheapo RCA 2 in1 windows10 cambio laptop at walleyworld for under 90.00 to see how I would like 10. After a few weeks I did only this to my desktop b4 upgrading to 10: I did a disk clean, and I copied all my files and software that was purchased on line to my external hard drive just incase. The upgrade took 6+ hrs. the desktop is 6+ yrs old and I figured I had nothing to loose since the life of a computer averages 5 yrs I've been lucky.I did babysit the upgrade so I could manage any screen prompts.

I don't care for microsoft edge and use cortana for quick math finds. I use chrome when doing searches always enter windows 10 when searching ? about 10. My office 2003 works perfectly as does coreldraw 5x , the printshop 23.1 works even though folks say they have trouble with these products. I got lucky I guess. All my printer and scanner drives work fine after windows 7 to 10 upgrade. 10 is VERY User friendly, it's gotten so I like 10 better than 7. I also made a  recovery thumb drive for both my desktop upgraded to 10 and the RCA laptop.

I felt I best get onboard than be left behind. Good Luck to Ya.
