The Coffee Shop / Re: Don't wash your hair in the shower
« on: September 17, 2017, 12:57:09 pm »
So glad I read this. Very informative.

DO NOT wash your hair in the shower!!
It's so good to finally get a health warning that is ...useful!!!

IT INVOLVES THE SHAMPOO WHEN IT RUNS DOWN YOUR BODY WHEN YOU SHOWER WITH IT.

WARNING TO US ALL!!!

Shampoo Warning!

I don't know WHY I didn't figure this out sooner!

I use shampoo in the shower!

When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole body, and printed very clearly on the shampoo label is this warning, "FOR EXTRA BODY AND VOLUME."

No wonder I have been gaining weight!

Well! I got rid of that shampoo and I am going to start showering with Dawn Dishwashing Soap.

It's label reads, "DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE."
Problem solved! If I don't answer the phone, I'll be in the shower!

Do we need to handstand on our heads to wash our hair LMAO  :o :-*
and using down dishwashing soap one way to lose weight LMAO

or another way to lose weight is go see the new IT movie.....

Computer questions / Re: BEST PROGRAM TO REPLACE MS WORD (WORD NOT WORKS)
« on: September 17, 2017, 12:51:19 pm »
Finally gave up and bought a PC to up-grade. Now I don't have my old stand-by, MS WORDPAD, to copy, paste, and print documents. What is the best replacement for MS WordPad that doesn't cost a fortune. Hopefully free.
God Bless! Spirithorse

What version of windows do you have is it windows vista or windows 7 or windows 8 or windows 8.1 or windows 10   next is it 32 bit or 64bit.  if it is 32bit you need to download the 32bit of open office. if it is 64bit then can download 32bit or 64 bit of open office.

have a good day.

Computer questions / Re: Norton removes Keychain maker as virus
« on: August 30, 2017, 08:03:49 pm »
i tried downloading Steve's Scrollsaw Keychain Maker (setupKeychain.exe) and my Norton anti-virus deletes it as unsafe.

i downloaded the Scrollsaw Pattern Maker and it was fine so not sure why Norton detected the other program as a virus?
is it possible the installer some how picked up a virus before being downloaded?

has anyone else run into this?

Bad steve is making computer viruses again.... <G

Norton is a stupid and should be remove computer your computer Norton antivirus is the virus in your computer not Steve key-chain.    Norton anti-virus software is unsafe for all computers.    I use vipre anti-virus.

Computer questions / Re: IS IT TIME FOR WINDOWS "10" YET?
« on: August 30, 2017, 07:57:08 pm »
Hey guys n gals....  Can it be a Safe or Good time to Download Windows 10?

The last time a month or so ago many were saying there were still lots of BUGS still in it?

Keep getting that dang WINDOW that keeps popping up saying Download Windows 10 now

while its still FREE to do so.  Will there be a cost to download it sometime in the future?

WHAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED A ....SAFE.... WAY TO DOWNLOAD WINDOWS 10?

READ SOMEONE SAID DON'T USE THAT WINDOW THAT KEEPS POPPING UP WITH THE FREE DOWNLOAD.

THANKS TO ALL FOR ANY INFO ON THIS..................Danny  :+}

No it's never time for windows 10. I would stay with windows 7 pro until 2020 when there is no more support from Microsoft support for windows updates.

Does anyone know of a good good program to buy, as my computer has been very slow, and freezing, sluggish at times, don't really want to take it to the shop. any help would be appreciated.  thanks  edward

It sounds like you need to do a clean windows install on that computer and reinstall all drivers and all windows updates and reinstall all software on that computer that you use. Backup your personal files before doing a clean windows install. This will make your computer run like new again.  By install more software on that computer will just make your computer run slow and slower.  By reformat the hard drive and do a reinstall of windows this will make your computer run fast like new again. What version of windows do you have.  If you have windows 10 install on that computer I would down grade back to windows 7 pro.  There been to many updates with tons of bugs in it.  And windows 10 is not ready for prim-time yet.  Windows 7 has about two more years of support from Microsoft until the year 2020.  What model is your computer and is it a laptop or a desktop.

I'm A+ certified computer tech.
been doing this for about 28 years now.
