Title: curving fonts
Post by: AndyS01 on October 10, 2017, 03:59:37 pm
Recently, a very good friend of ours had to put her dog down.  I want to make a special gift with the dog's name and a round picture insert with a snapshot of him inside.  I found a good head silhouette on line, but I want to put the dog's name (Duncan) curved just above the head.  I need to find a good scroll saw font with no floaters.

Most of the graphic software we use ie GIMP, INKSCAPE, Corel Draw, Photoshop allow text to be put on a path.  You can curve that path and get the letters where you want them.  As for the font with the graphic editor after you put down the letters you can edit to remove any floaters.

A good font is scrollsoni

You can find it here http://www.scrollcrafters.com/Pages/FreeStuff.aspx (http://www.scrollcrafters.com/Pages/FreeStuff.aspx).

If not what you want send me a PM and I have some others that may work

Thank you.  I installed the scrollsoni font, restarted Photoshop and it worked.
