Title: INSTALLING FONT NAMED....BIRDS OF PARIDISE....IN....INKSCAPE

Birds of Paradise has been Installed successfully.  Is in the Control Panel under FONTS.

IT IS NOT IN INKSCAPE.  Have tried deleting BOP and Download it and Installed again.

Still is not in Inkscape.     Can anyone shed a light on this Problem?       Appreciate it....  Danny  :+}     

 

OH Yea.............Windows 10 is on this PC....

Should be very simple.  Find the font file.  Right click on it and the menu should have an install listed.  Click that and it will install the font on your WIN10 system and that will make it available to inkscape.

Good Morning DW....  Font BOP has been Installed.  Tried what u said.  R-clicked .  Does not have Install.
Just the normal Properties , Review, Delete etc.  ??

Other Fonts I installed just like the BOP have shown up in Inkscape.  Something strange bout BOP.  ?

are you running inkscape 0.96 if so I have had problems with a few fonts on there and in the end reverted back to 0.48
and they all show in that

Hey Dave....  Newest version Inkscape  0.92....
Did read a Tip about using the Older Version.  Need to know more.  Just a basic Novice here.
When I Downloaded Inkscape I had the choice of using the 32-bit or the 64-bit.  I just clicked
on the 64.             Just don't understand why BOP has trouble being put in Inkscape.  ??
Any more tips would be Appreciated....  Danny  :+}

I did unenstall new version of Inkscape and downloaded the older version.  Think 48.5
Everything seems to work like Normal....and....Now the font Birds of Paradise show.  Yea!

open file folder as administrator this should help

Had this problem with other fonts too but I have found that 
download
extract all files to a separate folder or desktop
exit
open folder
right click on the ttf
install for all users.
checked in inkscape and it is there.

I have had similar problems

I overcame them by installing the font to all users

Right click on font file and select "Install for all users"

this work for me

Have fun
