Title: Toymakingplans.com

I got an ad for twelve ebooks of plans from this site. Does anyone know if there are simple plans in these books or are they fairly difficult?

Hi,
I have build some of their toys and the plans vary in difficulty. I would not say that they are above average difficult but there is a lot of detail and this can be time consuming with reference to the finishing and assembly. The owners John and Cynthia Lewman are pleasant people to work with and if you should have any inquiries, they will be more than willing to assist you. There are some $2 plans on the Toymaking website and I would suggest you try one or two of these before you commit to great capital expenditure. There are also free plans you can download and there are always specials once the bug has bitten!
Regards
Hercu

I know this is an old thread, but thought I’d give my opinion.  I have purchased a rocking horse plan, numerous toy cars and recently bought the 12 pack of various toys form toymakingplans.com  I’m fairly new to wood working (less than 2 years) and new to using a Scrollsaw (3 months).  I’ve had great success with the plans from this company.  In fact, making the toys is what led me to buying a Scrollsaw and then finding Steve’s website and this community!

I had some questions about the rocking horse plan and emailed them. They replied back within hours and sent me a link to a video that answered my questions.  I recommend their plans.

I’m currently working on several airplanes and the Noah’s Ark from toymakingplans.com. The Noah’s Ark is definitely challenging my skills!

Go there and join the forum. Ask all the questions of people who build their toys.
